Libero

About This Project

“Libero” is a short documentary about Giuseppe “Libero” Spagnuolo, a man who in 1997 decided to retire to a village called Roscigno Vecchia that had already been abandoned since the 1900s. Right now the village’s only inhabitant is Libero, who occupies a small home in what looks like a post apocalyptic landscape. His only links to the external world are the postcards and hats he receives from all around the globe and the occasional visitor to the village and an occasional musician that comes to the village to practice. Despite that he spends his days wandering around the village, contemplating life and nature.
